I've planned alot of my Iitinerary however I havent figured out where exactly I want to go. I'll be going to Paris and Rouen but I'd really love to visit southern France for about 3 days, but the choices are overwhelming because I love french things!
My question is, where do you reccomend I spend my time? (I will be coming from Italy) Ty =)

i stayed in nice 3 days and did a day trip to monaco. i very much enjoyed nice... it was my favorite place in france (well that and monaco if you consider it part of france). i spent the better part of two days on a beach. it was a much needed break from the constant barrage of churchs and monuments and museums.

I am no fan of France in general, but thoroughly enjoyed myself in Aix en Provance and Avignon as well. Both wonderful old towns, tourist friendly, well worth a stop imo.

If you only have three days to play with, you're probably best going to Aix en Provence and surroudning towns as it's pretty and gives you a different perspective of France. How about Lyon/Burgundy region? I too like France so understand the difficulty of narrowing the choice down, but if you are already in Paris and Rouen, Provence would be a good contrast. I like the Languedoc region too, but if you were in Aix you could also go to the Cote d'Azur and visit Monaco, Nice, Antibes, etc.
