Hi All,
I need some help. I was wondering if there are any discount cards, like the London Pass, for Brussels and Rotterdam. Also, what would you recommend seeing? Your help is appreciated!

sp2222, welcome to the Boards! I don't have any information on discount cards, but hopefully some of our regulars here will be able to help.
One comment though, many of the posters here seem to feel that Brugges is a more enjoyable destination than Brussels (unless of course you have a specific reason to go to Brussels).
Good luck and happy travels!!!

Yeh, Bruges is close and you'd need to hit Brussels before Bruges so you could still check it out but most seem to agree you'd enjoy staying in Bruges more than Brussels. Also a town called Ghent between Bruges and Brussels that I've heard is worth a visit.

brussels is not a nice city. grande place is very pretty and that's bout it. the locals are highly unfriendly and the city is mostly ugly and modern (got that right here in Toronto... don't need europe for that!). brugges however redeemed belgium in my eyes! its a very beautiful city and the flemish people are very friendly and helpful. i'd definately go for brugges over brussels.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your advice on Bruges. I would never have even considered it! I hope all of you will have a great time on your future adventures!

This a card they offer in Rotterdam: www.rotterdam.info/uk/Toeristen/What is there to see in Rotterdam? Because of the bombing in the WW-II, there is not a historical centre or a lot of really old buildings. There are a few good museums to go to: Booymans van Beuningen and the Kunsthal, they offer good expo's If you are interested in the Harbour (the biggest in the world, or did Shanghai already catch up?), you can take a tour in the harbour, with a boat. A lot of locals say that the nightlife in Rotterdam is better than in Amsterdam, a starting point for that could be to go to a gig in Nighttown (or sometimes referred to as Rotown)
