Hi,
I'm planning a trip to Spain in late September, and I'm hoping to get suggestions for small, cute, relatively unspoiled villages in Spain. Something akin to the Cinque Terre in Italy, or Gryon in Switzerland (where I haven't been, but my boyfriend swears by it)
I'd prefer a place with an hostel, since I'll be travelling solo and I like to meet people.
I don't have a fixed itinerary yet, but I know I'll be starting from Barcelona, and either going west to the Basque country, or south to Madrid and Seville (but I'm leaning more and more towards the former).
Any ideas?

one town i'd suggest, Arcos de la Frontera, isn't quite like CT, (no sea) but is also lovely. there's a river & some mountains nearby. Arcos is also one of the pueblos blancos (white villages). there's a high dollar resort in town where i stayed with my folks a few years ago. but there's also at least one hostel listed on the web: Casa Blues is one i found just now.

Finally, I think I'll go Lekeitio, a small seaside village in the Basque Country. It's recommended in the Rick Steves guide and it gets a very brief mention in other guidebooks, so it's a good sign that it's interesting enough to be worth visiting, but low-key enough to be off the big touristy crowds. I'll let you know how it is.
