I might go to Florence next year, so I need to make a budget for that, and my main concern is about food. Does anyone know how expensive/cheap is a meal over there?

it depends: if you call a happy meal at McD a meal, you can be done very cheap, and from there to the other end of the spectrum (3 star Michelin restaurant), is a variety of choices.
But maybe someone (Eagle) who has been there recently can give you some good recommendations to get a decent meal, and tell you, how much he spend.
