Hey,
Does anyone know of any tour websites that can take me from amalfi (where i'll be staying) to pompeii and vesuvius? everything i've found starts in naples, but i wont be staying there. what should i do if no such tour exists?

I'm not sure of any websites, but I do know a travel agency in Sorrento that may be able to help (I know you're staying in Amalfi, but it's just up the road). Let me know if you want their details - they are reputable and I've had many friends use them for small boat trips to large tours.

Hey, no that's ok. I checked with my hostel, and they said they have this organized tour of pompeii/vesuvius on the 29 of the july (my 3rd day there). so it all worked out..

Excellent - hope you enjoy it...charge the camera battery up! And have small change (coins) to pay the guys on Vesuvius who hand out the walking poles (I'd say sticks, but they are huge hunks of wood!) - you'll be grateful as the slope is fairly tilted (I'm sure there's a technical word for that  ) and a little slippery in parts. |
