One day stay in Switz or Germany?

Ok, the subject line is a little misleading - I'll be in Gimmelwald for 2 days and then I'll be heading to Munich for two days. Is there anywhere in between that would be a nice place to stay for a day (instead of taking an overnight train straight to munich)? Otherwise, we'll probably just tack on another day to Munich or perhaps later on in the trip.

Let me know if anyone has any suggestions!

There are undoubtedly places you could stop between Gimmelwald and Munich, however if time is an issue my preference would be to tolerate the night train and add a day to Munich. Keep in mind that if the train you choose has intermediate stops, you likely won't get a good sleep!

The extra day in Munich would probably be a good idea, especially if you plan on taking daytrips from there (Fussen & the Castles or Dachau).

I agree, use the extra day in either place as both are worth it.
