If you have been backpacking around, which place was your favorite and why? I'm just curious on other peoples views, and it might peek my interest to go there on my next trip. My favorite places (I had 2) were Paris France (very magical and brought out the bohemian in me) and Cinque Terre, Italy (the scenery, food, beaches, all blew me away!! I had the best cherries in the world there!) Tell me yours ~michelle~

Toledo is probably one of them. But I would also have to say Helsinki (beautiful city), and Vienna. And my secret place, nobody ever seems to go: Habachtal in Austria. (one of the valleys in the Pinzgau area) Did I ever mentioned I really like Madrid.

I like the scenery, the buildings from the 3 mean religions in one city. The Alcazar and Cathedral are worth a visit, but pretty much all these buildings in every town in Spain are worth a visit. I liked it that you can just get lost in this small town, if you turn away from the main streets, you can see some pretty things. I really liked the restaurant we found (had a really lovely meal, there), And I liked the time I had, with the people I was with. The synagoge is for sure worth a visit, we also have been to the 'house' of El Greco, which is now a small museum (but it's not the actual house, but a similar place). And you have to love the escalators to get up to the city (didn't find them on the way up, only on the way down). The only downside on that day was a french guy, that was demanding the exact places on the bus for his family (including some really horrible kids ), and that is something nobody does in Spain, you just take a seat somewhere.
