Here is a list of things I am seeing while in Florence for two days...am I missing anything great?
Uffizi Piazza della Signoria Museo dell'Opera Duomo and Campanile Palazzo Pitti Giardini di Boboli Cappelle Medicee Galleria dell'Accademia Ponte Vecchio
I don't want to go to too many churches and museums (well I would but my boyfriend wouldn't)
I was also thinking of making a daytrip out to Siena. Is that a good choice?
Thanks for advice!

Add to your list:
The Bargello (former prison turned into museum with an extensive Donatello collection) San Croce (where Michelangelo's tomb is) San Lorenzo Market Piazza Michelangelo (definite must-see around sunset!)
A few things to keep in mind - make your reservations ahead of time for the museums (Uffizi and Accademia). The Uffizi is the larger one but the Accademia can be done in about an hour. - carry a pashima shawl with you if you're planning to visit churches - check out Ponte Vecchio at sunset but instead, to get great pictures, go on one of the other bridges to get Vecchio in the photos. Same thing really. - Boboli Gardens/Pitti = it was okay. The gardens weren't really "floral". It's mostly sculptures and greeneries but the best part is at the top where there's a beautiful rock sculpture of a face that overlooks Florence - Are you visiting in May? In May 2007 (when I visited), it was Culture Week and we got free entry into all the museums and galleries, Uffizi included although we still had to pay the booking fees.

kristingingera, I'd be amazed if you could fit all those sites (in addition to the ones suggested by PONR) into a two day visit, and a daytrip to Siena as well!
You'll probably find that due to a variety of factors, the visits to various sites don't happen as quickly as planned. Hopefully you'll get some further comments on this. Possibly it can be done?
Cheers!

I have two whole days and the morning before I leave for the next city already scheduled...but I have 6 days planned in Rome and was thinking I could take one and add to Florence if I would be missing alot.
I had already planned on going to Orvieto and the more I look into Siena, I think Orvieto is more our style.

I think it would be perfectly reasonable to take one day from Rome and give it to Florence. No matter how much time you have for these beautiful Italian cities, it won't be enough.

I think it would be reasonable too - Florence is really beautiful and I was sorry to leave after 3 nights. I stayed in Rome for 5 nights and didn't even get to see everything but that's okay. There's always another trip back to Italy in the future!
