Hi all..
I am trying to come to a decision as to whether i want to visit Bruges, or Brussels for my "Belgium experience". I don't really have any expectations of what i'd like to see, i just want to have a bit of the french culture "outside of france" and taste of course those waffles. What would you recommend as a better place to just have a good experience in.
Now into my itinerary, ive found a much more conveinant way of getting to athens. By ferry from my italy destination, which takes me to Corfu, then fly to Athens. Would you recommend me staying a night or two in Corfu.. ? is there much there for me to see.. or would you just try to get the next connecting flight right to athens. My itinerary is pretty open for the amount of nights i can spend in any one place. So its not a problem really. But will it be like how some say milan and pisa are sort of a waste?... or would it be a nice visit.
Lastly, i have included in Ljubljana, its a bit of random destination, i dont really hear of many going there, but it just so happens to be that my grandfather was born there. He passed many many years ago, so many that my dad never got to meet him. So its not like i would be able to have any opinions from him of it there. Are there any sights really in Ljub? Anything kind of interesting to see, or will i just be wandering around the city, basically saying to myself, "so this is where my grand-father was born..." . Even if not, i would still want to go there just for that purpose to kind of meet the people, possibly find some relatives. Although thats kind of a long shot, since our last name is very common in slovenia ive been told .
Thank you.!
