Hello!
I was just wondering if anyone here has spent any time in Livorno or surrounding areas. I know that it doesn't have much tourist allure, however I'm most interested in what it offers as far as living is concerned.
I have been offered a job in Livorno and I guess I'm just curious what other people think.
Any experiences would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

makemagic, Lucky you, being offered a job in Italy!
I don't have any specific information on Livorno, but I'll do a bit of checking and if I find any further information, I'll post a reply.
Ciao e Buona Fortuna!

makemagic, that's fantastic!
If I recall correctly your last trip only briefly included Italy so at least you'll get to see much more of it whilst living there!
Livorno is the beach spot for Tuscans, particularly Florentines, and swells in size in Summer, but the rest of the year is a rather pretty town with canals, painted buildings and a laid-back seaside feel. It's easy to reach many places in Italy from here as there are regular (at least hourly) trains to Florence and there are great seafood restaurants here too! I think it's a pretty place and if the rest of the world's tourists haven't found it yet then that's a good thing for you!
What will the job entail?
