sd21, define party spots? By that I mean what type of night out are you looking for? As a start, you could look at Prague (great underground and mainstream clubs and bars), Berlin (legendary nightlife that offers something for everyone), Ibiza (long-standing party island, expensive nights out but unforgetable), Mykonos (Greek island that offers all types of clubs and bars for straight and gay visitors), Paris (some glam clubs and some institutions), Amsterdam (another "something for everyone" city), Barcelona & Madrid (late-night/early-morning hives of activity), Munich (great club complex).....the list is endless. If you could narrow down what you're looking for that would help.

Hmm, still a bit broad, but here's a previous Post with a few cities that might interest you: pretravel.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=CCadvice&action=display&n=1&thread=3824I know you've previously asked about Prague nightlife in another Post a while back so hopefully you read the answers and have an idea of what to find there. As far as "not too expensive" then you'll find that hard to avoid, esp in Ibiza, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, etc. Sometimes Hostels have bars/discos attached to them that are pumping and popular, othertimes you'll have to go in search of entertainment further afield from your accommodation. Local publications are good for what's on so ask at your accommodation for info and recommendations too. Also, have a look through other Posts (in City & Country and in Tips) as quite a few specific places have been listed in the past.

Typically, the party spots are the most expensive places... in my opinion. Booze is not cheap in Europe.

I hear that Riga in Latvia is getting a bit of a party reputation and being in Eastern Europe it will be cheaper. Also I think Magaluf has a party reputation a bit like Ibiza. I think Ibiza is expensive because of the type of clubs on the island. It has traded on it's party name and became a 'must go to' spot for a lot of British clubbers. So if you have created a niche then you can push your prices a bit. The clubs have known DJs, famous clubs and lots of drunken brits with more money than sense. Having said that have heard it is a really beautiful island.

Hold that thought about Riga. Looks Like i Could be wrong about the prices . Muvver has posted a 'just got back report' saying the prices are quite high. Looks like the clubs are huge though. Check out his opinions of the place. Sorry useless with computers or I would post the link.

HI guys, speaking of partying, i presume it wont be safe for a bunch of asian guys to go into clubs in Europe? I live in Australia and we all get along quite well, but im not sure about Europe, any ideas?

I think common sence prevails I wouldn't presume that it's not safe EVERYWHERE in Europe. In my area (Northern UK) people of all races quite happily go clubbing and partying. Bouncers are suspcious of large groups whatever race or gender and may refuse entry to clubs. Sadly there are idiots about that will cause problems for some people but don't let it put you off.
I think the best advice is to decide which places you want to go then ask advice from people who have already been there (on this forum maybe). Remember Europe's a big place and differs from country to country.
However speaking as a white european female I have no idea what it's like to be an Asian Australian Male :-) .

Why is Ibiza so expensive? that's a good question...my guess would be supply and demand many people want to party there, the new government is against parties and is cracking down on them, making new laws and changing old ones...it might not be another ten years before that entirety of the Balerics will be nothing be golf courses and sub-divisions and tourists trap tours.
