ppl suggested that i should fly into one city and leave from another city. is that way too expensive?  should i just do a round trip ticket from the same city??

i am sooo lost..thank god i have 5 months to plan this trip!  ;D

There's no definite answer. You should calculate the difference in air ticket price against the time and cost of travel back to the original city.
