I'll be traveling to Italy for the first time this summer with my boyfriend for 28 days. Our itinerary includes Rome,Venice, Florence, Naples, Sant'Agnello (Sorrento), Positano and Capri. We will be there from mid-July to mid-August. We're bringing 1 backpack each (no suitcases), mine is 5000 cu. in. I have no idea how much to bring. I need suggestions of clothing including # of each I should bring, including underwear and bras. I've never been to italy and never been anywhere for more than a week and I'm KNOWN to overpack, in this situation it's not an option. PLEASE HELP!!! ;D

I'm sure some of the ladies here will have some great packing suggestions for you. You might check over some of the other Posts in the "Packing" section, as there are lots of packing tips already listed there. You could also check www.guideforeurope.com/packing.html which is found on the home page of this site, and www.ricksteves.com/plan/tips/womenpacking.htm for some great suggestions. I try to follow the principle that one should "pack the same for three weeks as for three months". One other thing that will become apparent very quickly after you start travelling, is the benefit of PACKING LIGHT! One question though - are you not taking along any Daypacks? Hope this helps. Good luck and happy travels!!!
