I'm using the Die Bahn travel planner website: reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en?ld=41&OK#focus to plan my train trips. However, I'm running into some difficulty because I'm not sure what the train station name is in the cities I would like to visit. For example, I would like to take a train from Amsterdam to Bordeaux, France. I'm using the Die Bahn website to see if there is an overnight train I can take using my Eurail Pass. I'm not sure if the train station at Bordeaux is Bordeaux-St. Jean, Bordeaux Benauge, or Bordeaux St. Louis. Is there a website where I could find the name of the city train stations appropriate for the Eurail? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks. Jessica

I'm not sure about a web site with that info......Nitsansh should know that ......but I do know that LP guidebooks list all the stations, and their names, in their guides. And also show them on the maps so you can see which one is closest to where you want to be. Assume most all of the big guidebooks will do the same. You wouldn't need to buy a new book for this, even old copies would be fine as the info on that sort of thing does not change yearly. If you don't have one, and don't want to purchase, just check out the library or bookstore and 'browse' for a few minutes.

There is no direct train between Amsterdam and Bordeaux. You should change train at Paris, and transfer from Gare du Nord to Gare Montparnass. You can take a night train for each of the 2 sections (the night train Paris-Bordeaux depart from Gare Austerlitz!). Any train of the national railway (DB in Germany, SNCF in France, etc.) is good for Eurailpass. The trains from Paris stop at Bordeaux-St. Jean. The station is 3KM from the city center.
