Got a new question. What is the best way to get to Ibiza from inside Spain? What is the cheapest city to leave from? Is it really worth the expense? I hear once you get there it is pretty expensive lodging and partying. Thanks for info

I don't remember how much it costs, but I believe it is above US$50 to get to Ibiza from the mainland. The primary departure points are Barcelona and Valencia.
As for partying, if you just HAVE to see the Mecca of the club scene, Ibiza is the place. However, I feel you can have an equally good time for a fraction of the cost on the mainland. Ibiza is a party haven, but it is far from Spanish. Seems more German or British. Cover charges to get into clubs are extremely expensive (roughly US$40-60) and everything else follows the same price scale.
But it's hard not to have a good time there...
Cheers, Ray

Sweet Heavens to Betsy!! Knew it was pricey but that is WOW!! Anybody know where to stay or how much that is? Kind of scared to ask. Have to recheck the budget on this one. Kind of like Vegas or Cancun though, got to go once! Thanks

I was there just last New Years and the prices are really what Ray said: 40 to 60 Euros cover to get into the clubs, and 10 to 15 dollar drinks. As far as hostels, i couldn't find one before getting there so I booked a room at hotel wich ran me about 45 a nite. However when I was there I saw a hostel but I can'te remember the name and didn't inquiry their rates. Regardles of the cost, it was an experience... to sya the least.
