Can anyone help me with finding my way from Geneva Switzerland by train or bus, to Cinque Terre in Italy.

I think your best route via train is:
Geneva to Genoa
Genoa to La Spezia
In La Spezia, you transfer to a local train. Goes past each villages station, only takes about 15-20 min. if I remember correctly.
Sounds like a hassle but it's really not, it's so worth it!
