Zoom Airlines started up a few months ago and has relatively cheap flights between various Canadian and European destinations. A friend booked a flight in mid-July two days before departure. She got a pretty good rate, considering what her other options were (it was YVR-LGW roundtrip - total including taxes 414 pounds = about $930 Canadian - which was somewhat less than Air Transat and way less than Air Canada). There are quite a bit cheaper rates available for the fall also. I haven't heard back about the quality of the flight, but I've heard the planes are nicer than Air Transat. www.flyzoom.comWhen you go to make your reservation departing Canada, you get redirected to this web site: www.canadian-affair.comNote they have one-way deals also (not particularly cheap, but cheaper than a return ticket).
