I'm traveling to London-Paris-Venice-Florence-Rome
-Should I buy the France & Italy pass in US or buy train tickets in Europe? Can I get a discount for Eurostar with the pass?
-I can take the Eurostar from London Waterloo to Paris, 3 hours ride. Does this lead me to central Paris or do I have to take the Metro to central Paris? If so, how long will it take?
Thanks!

Are these five cities set in stone? Absolutely the only places you are visiting? If so, then I doubt a pass will be your best deal, in fact I urge you to check out Ryan Air, Easy Jet, BMI, et al. The low cost airlines, if booked early enough, are incredibly low priced and usually much cheaper than trains. And a real time savings as well...however be aware that most fly into/out of small, far out airports so your 'savings' has to include transport to and from said airports. Nevertheless, at least for your Paris to Italy leg, I would surely look into flying. Italian trains are 'cheap' relatively speaking and the distance between the three cities you mentioned is not great, so training it in Italy might do just as well....and you get to see some gorgeous countryside between. But with todays air prices no way would I train it from Paris to Italy. If he is in a 'chatty' mood, Nitsansh is the real expert here on transportation things and can give you the real low down on pricing. If he doesn't check in, I will see what I can find out for you on Monday. Am away for the weekendbeginning in 45 minutes, so no time to do it for you now.

Check Volare for flights Paris - Venezia. w3.volareweb.com/en/index.htmlFares from 68 Euro inc tax. The good news is that from this month Volare fly from Orly airport instead of Beauvais.
