Hey guys
Any Canadians out there that have booked flights to Europe for May or June that got a great deal?? Just curious what people are paying for flights this coming spring. I'm hearing around $900 + taxes .... should I keep looking?
Let me know if you've got some good web sites or travel agents ;D I'll be flying out of Toronto.
Thanks a bunch! Kelly

One of the very best 'comparison' sites I've ever come across is travelaxe.com.....collects from nearly every main site out there and displays side by side. And like many, also searches out many of the budget sites as well. www.travelaxe.com/NewSite/Information_Overview.aspAnother handy one to use is sidestep.com....opens on the side any time you search a travel site and checks all the other ones as well: www.sidestep.com/

Most likely into Prague.
I posted something in the pre-travel planning section asking if I should fly into Warsaw or Prague.
I'm assuming I'll be able to pick up a pretty cheap flight over to Spain from Prague or Vienna.

with all the extra cheap budget flights available in Europe nowadays you ought to check flying into the cheapest place you can, normally London or Amsterdam and then flying on from there. Many times nowadays two flights like this is significantly less than flying direct to your ultimate destination.

yes, i was thinking of trying that
i know lots of people who "wing it" like that, i'm always just worried i'll spend too much time waiting for flights or get stuck with nothing
after taxes & charges i think i'm still looking at paying about $6-700 canadian dollars to fly into london or amsterdam so i figure if i were to get a flight for 80 euro's = $128 canadian...... to my destination there isn't much difference
but i'll definitely be looking into that early in the new year - because if i can get a great price to a main europen hub I'll definitely be wing'n it ;D
thanks!

I'd also suggest looking into budget airlines for London to Prague. Check out Zoom to fly from Toronto to London. www.flyzoom.comYou can book cheap tickets now for May. Air Transat is also cheap, but its prices aren't out yet. You might also consider looking at prices out of a major US gateway, and figure out how much inconvenience you are willing to put up with for a cheaper price. I left an overnight stay (or even two) in place between my flights to and from London. That gives me time to scrounge up an alternative should it be needed and it avoids the needs to rush.

DON'T PAY THAT MUCH! I came across this wonderful website for tickets. www.statravel.com Mine will be like 1/3 that! Here's their phone number too, they're friendly to talk to ___ 1-800-781-4040 You might wanna try (I think it's here) www.bootsnall.com Also, if you plan to go for a short period of time, try www.travelocity.com or www.priceline.com for Last Minute Deals. These will save you soooo much. Here, I found Travelocity's phone number 1-888-452-3373 . I've called them and they're extremely helpful as well. Just to let ya'll know, flights will be cheaper leaving before June 13th (peak season). Get back to me! and Good Luck!!! If anybody wants to email me, feel free__ leon7@hotmail.com __ just label it EUROPE 2004 so I don't mistakenly "recycle" it. Thanks Leon
