How do these rail passes work?
Like if I'm going from Berlin to Brussels. Will a Germany pass cover that (for example)
Also what should I do to save the best money?
Berlin >> Amsterdam >> Brussels >> Munich >> Salzburg >> Vienna >> Prague >> Berlin
(also day trips to: 1 in Vienna, maybe 2. 1-2 in Bruges.)
Thanks for any input.

Hello! The passes cover only the strech that is within the country included. What they normally do, if you were to be passing through 2 countries, ex : From Prague to Berlin You have a German pass, so what you do is you have to buy a ticket for the portion from prague to the city that is close to the german border, than your rail pass kicks in! I don't know if you understand but..... HAve you calculated your point to point tickets and compared them to a pass? That's how you can get your answer! By the way, they don't give the prices if you have a destination out of Germany, but they give great schedules and train routes and all you need, www.bahn.de , it's in german but go to international guests and the top and you'll be able to search in english, so if you want schedules and possibilities, go there! it's great! For prices, I can't help, raileurope has, but I find the prices vary for certain destinations from the actual prices you pay once you are in europe, just IMOO! xoxo jen
