Has anyone ever flown with Ryan Air?? I am finding that they have INCREDIBLY cheap prices from city to city within europe. Anyone who has any flying experience with them drop me a line. Thanks!!!

I've taken two Ryanair flights. Both went like clockwork. Here's the worst-case scenario (keeping in mind various airlines have their own worst-case scenarios): www.aftenposten.no/english/local/article.jhtml?articleID=517434What I get from that article is that you cannot depend on Ryanair if it's absolutely 100% crucial you be there. 99%+ will be fine and probably more on time than a regular airline. So if you are using Ryanair to return to a city that you are flying from, leave lots and lots of time to accommodate such situations, and/or have an alternate plan in mind. E.g. - if our Ryanair flight from Oslo to London had failed (I took the same route as in the article), I would have paid extra to immediately book a flight on another airline for the next morning.

I too have flown with them several times without a hitch. However.....be there EARLY and find out what desk your check in will be at and plant yourself in front of it till they open the window. There are no reserved seats, no early check in, no frills. If you wait till the last minute you will find yourself at the end of a very big line and could miss your flight waiting...and they do take off on time! But.....wish we had something like this here in the states! Cheap, reliable, mostly on time.....I don't care if they don't give me a drink or snack, just get me there for as few bucks as you can.

Oh, one more thing to keep in mind when pricing their flights....most all use out of the way/out of the city airports and the transportation costs to get there must be added. e.g from London 98% use Stansted...the express train out there will set you back about 13 pounds. So, if the flight is 10, add that 13 to get your 'real' cost of 23 pounds. It's not a great expense, but worth remembering.
