I did the math and I compared buying a eurorail pass to buying point-to-point ticket!!! I am travelling southern France and Italy. The flexibility is way better I think point-to-point.... can anyone tell me what they think on this matter please. Sweet traveller

It depends on your travel plans entirely. I had a 3 month pass....you can't beat that 'flexibility'. ;D If it is just that, flexibility, you are looking at, then a pass can't be beat. Is it the best choice from a financial aspect? If you are only making a few, planned in advance train trips from point A to point B with no need particularly for spontenaity or last minute 'let's just hop on this train and see where it goes' impulses then point to point bought in advance will most likely be the best cost option for you.

Are you actually 'traveling' for 22 days? By that I mean will you physically be on a train going somewhere for 22 seperate days? Hmmmm....if that is the case then a 1 month pass might be less...I am not sure, would need to go check the pricing.

Head over to RailSaver.com - Input your route and it will give you the best options for tickets/passes. Before you submit it, look on the right and click "Only use Passes if it saves me money" and you will only get passes if it saves you money and it will otherwise display the cheapest P2P tickets you could buy. Good luck.

point to point gives great flexibility, but you can also end up paying more than you bargained, if the pass is not such a big difference, I'd go for the pass, this way if you change routes, do return trips instead of moving to another city and stuff like that, it's covered in a consecutive pass, or in a Xday pass, you can go to one city in the morning, move on to the next at night and save that rail! xoxo Jen

I will not be travelling everyday. From city to city will take train.. .and in the cities I will try using public transportation. I verified the prices of passes and they are very explensive... no?

Since we don't know your route nor the actual number of days you will be on a train it is impossible to answer your question with accuracy. I urge you to follow Moose's advice and input your schedule there and see the results.
