will i need the full? should i spend the extra money? what limits me if i get the flexi? ***Also I heard that a lot of times they don't even bother checking off days in some places. anyone have any experience on this?

What you do is you have to write your date in the box on the day you use it. They don't like it if it isn't filled in when they come around to check. We had ours checked every single time except for about twice - in 7 months.
In order to determine which pass works best for you, you have to figure out how many days you will actually be travelling on. Are you using cheap flights at all?
As far as where you are thinking of going, I would personally swap Brugges for Brussels and get rid of Athens - unless you are going there for a ferry or whatever.
There are no different limitations with the 15 day pass - it just means you can only travel on 15 days within a 2 month period, where are the other one you could travel every day if you wanted, in a 2 month period.
Now, here is where those passes cover:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
I would recommend getting a cheap flight from England to Paris as that won't be covered. A flight will work out to be cheaper than a rail ticket, oddly enough.

just my experience....in 2001/2002 I never had anyone really check my pass closely...it was a 3 month one. In 2002/2003 with a flexipass they checked every single time and THEY stamped the date on it 'officially' every single time. Did not have a pass this last trip, however sat next to folks with passes 4 times...again, the conducter stamped the date on them every time. I think the days of being able to fudge on dates is long gone.

I think I'll get the full pass, and yes i am flying into paris from london with easyjet, its pretty cheap. i HAVE to see athens, I know its way out of the way and its dirty etc. but its the capital of ancient civilization. i want to spend a couple days there and a couple days on an island. it sucks that there are really no flights from athens to italy or vis versa.
