I bought a ticket that will take me out of Europe, after my three month vacation, from Heathrow on July 27th at 3:15pm. I plan on being in Amsterdam at the end of July and have found some cheap tickets from Easyjet that will take me to London. My question is: when should I leave Amsterdam to make sure I get on that plane back home?? I know that it can be a terrible time getting to airports from the city in the morning. So, I think I may have to take a red eye flight out of Amsterdam and stay the night in Heathrow, or spend the night in the airport in Amsterdam. Any thoughts??

Why don't you fly to London the day before your flight home, and just spend the night there. Then you can have the security of knowing that in case your Easyjet is delayed, at least you have 24 hours to make your flight home...

I have to agree with Michelle here....knowing how likely the chances of a screw up with any transportation is, no way would I wait until the last minute to try and get to London to make that flight. I'd also suggest you get yourself to London the day before, NOT the red eye route and insure you will be able to easily get to the airport the day of your flight.
