Dear forummers, these questions may have been asked before but pls bear with me..
1) I did my maths and decided that the Eurail 5 days 3 country flexipass is the most ideal. On the first use, I am going from Paris to Rome. Do I need to make a reservation if I want a sleeper?
2) If so, how can I make a reservation?
3) Are there additional charges and a good estimate?
4) I will also like to get on a sleeper from Rome to Paris on my 5th day usage of the pass. Can I make this reservation together with my reservation in qn 1) above?
5) Does the location (whether rome or paris) where you make the reservation matters? Can I make the reservation in terminals/stations that accepts Eurail like in Amsterdam or Zurich, even though the journey is from Paris to Rome?
6) Do I need to, and can I make the reservation together with the purchase of my Eurail Pass?
7) If I travel overnight, will it be considered 2 day usage of the pass?
8) Anyone knows roughly how I can get the Champions League final ticket in Germany at a good price?
Thanks..

For answers regarding rail travel, I suggest you visit www.raileurope.com which will be able to provide you with most of those answers. If you look for the FAQ section, it should answer questions about using days of your pass, reservations, etc. After reading through that, if you still have any questions, then come back here and ask! Hope that helps!

Hi.....the areas Michelle directed you to will indeed answer most of your questions, but I will add that unless you intend sitting in a regular seat on your night trains...and you say you want a 'sleeper', then yes, there is an additional charge for that. Couchettes are less than 'beds'...for either you will pay the difference of a sleeper price ticket minus the actual fare which your pass covers. And the amount of comfort and privacy you want determines the price...do you want to be in a room alone or with up to 5 other people?
Most of the 'high speed' and night trains will require a reservation...this is a minimal charge, I think the most I ever paid was 2 euros. Just go to the ticket window of any train station anywhere and tell them what train, what day and they can issue it to you. In fact, if you are very scheduled you could buy all your reservations at once when you initially validate your pass. I don't think you can buy the reservations at the time you buy your pass...could be wrong though. Check the rail link in Michelles post...you can get all this info there. Hope that helps some.
