hello everyone! This will be my 1st time backpacking to europe with a fellow buddy I read a lot of the post already but still confused. Here is my itineary: landing in london (will spend 3 nights there) then head to paris. My goal is to stay in each city about 2-3nights. paris -->brussels-->amsterdam -->munich-->salzburg--> venice -->florence-->rome-->milan (probably just stop during the day....) -->geneva-->lyon-->paris-->london. I did the eurosaver "calculation" for best pass...and it suggest i get the 10day 1st class selectpass ($592) my question is that during my 3 night stay in each cities, what if i want to visit nearby cities? i can't really use my euro pass right? cuz that will be consider one day...... and if i buy point to point pass.... won't it be cheaper if i just buy the ONE MONTH eurorail pass ($804) and not worry about the additional cost of buying all the "point to point passes??" please help!!!

Even though you may end up spending about $200 more to get the one month unlimited pass, in my opinion, it would be worth it. You won't have to worry about filling in your pass every time you use a day, and you can hop on and off the train any time you want, without worrying about using an entire day! It also looks as though you will need more than 10 travel days based on the intinerary you posted. My vote would be to spend the extra $212 dollars and go for the unlimited pass!! Hope you have a great trip! ~Michelle
