This Is mostly a question to Kim but info from anyone would be great.
So me and 3 friends are planning a trip to backpack thru europe this summer (well I'm doing most the planning cause i love doing that sort of stuff) and I would like to say yur site has probably been the most helpful I have found. But i just wanted to know about where you found such low airfares on yur trip? i have been looking around and the cheapest i could find was $1700 per person round trip from Milwaukee to amsterdam (Im kinda using a mini version of yur 7 month trip). And well as I'm sure most of you know coming up with that alone is hard enough for 4 college students any suggestions??
Thank you in advance, Lee

I don't know if you want to look into this... but I took iceland air, and we even stayed in iceland for a day (which i totally recommend because it's an awesome place). But they had really good airfare deals. I'm not sure if they fly out of where you are from but it's at least a try and also go onto STAtravel.com and call their company you can get really good deals on there for being a student!!

Leaving from Chicago instead of Milwaukee would probably save you a lot of money. $1700 is just too high. Spend some time looking around on different sites and ask various travel agents too.

Yea, you could get a flight from ohare to london for like 800ish bucks and once you get there hop a jet to amster. you can easly get this trip for at least 1000 a ticket. Shop around more youll find much better deals then that.

Thanks folks still looking around but so far I've found from Ohare to London for $780, I think its best to spend in London first anyways just to make sure we get around to it (one of my goals in life ya know) but don't worry I'm have more questions for ya
Would you suggest travel by rail or bus thru the main of europe? I've looked up both and am trying to figure if if the extra money of a railpass is worth it or should I just go for a buspass. is there that much of a diffence in travel time that its worth the extra $100 or so?

I really think rail is better, timewise and quality wise. But for money, of course buses are cheaper, but they are longer. You have to decide wether money or time is more important to you!
You can do both, buses for short journeys and night trains for long journeys!
Sleeping in a bus isn't paradise, trust me!

i'm not sure probably. you just have to search on travelocity and find the right price, once you do i suggest going to priceline.com and naming a price about 20 percent cheaper most of the time you get it.
i'm leaving for paris on the 18- 31 from nashville. it cost me 436 total for round trip tickets. so you just have to search around.

Hey Franek, I was wondering where exactly you were from in Nashville? I'm from that area, too! I lived in Franklin, TN, and am going back there here soon. Let me know man. Erich
