Canadians and the Czech Republic

As of May 1st the Czech Republic has lifted the visa requrement for Canadians (http://www.czechembassy.org/wwwo/default.asp?ido=154&idj=2&amb=58).

Although I'm not Canadian I've met many when travelling and most have complained about the visa requirements. I'm glad that the Czech republic has finally decided to lift the requirements (although it's new EU membership may have been a deciding factor....) as it will hopefully allow more people to visit the Czech republic.

That's really great to know, never quite understood why we needed a visa and will allow many fellow candians to go to Czech Republic, many of which thought it wasn't worth it to pay the extra 50-75$ just for a quick visit to Prague (myself included)

My friends will be pissed, it comes one summer to late!!

I'm so glad about this! I loved the Czeck Republik! I can't wait to go back! This being said, not having to pay each time will make me go in and out of this country way more often once i'm in europe!
