I have been a beta tester for a bit now....this site once fully implemented could prove quite useful. Basically, they database and track airfares and 'project' if the current price is apt to go up or down and when. At present it only supports a couple of cities, Seattle being most prominent, but they are working on going countrywide shall we say. So far, I've been pleased.
The site is by invite only at this time. They have given me a number of 'invitations' to offer out. If any of you are interested either email or PM me with your addy and I will send you one.

Sure...it's just like any other travel info site...you enter from where to where, dates, etc and based on past history and current trends it projects if the fare today is likely to go up or down, about how much they expect, and for how long. Does that make sense? It's gotten some rave reviews and so far has been pretty darn accurate in their projections.
It's just another 'tool' to use when pricing airline tickets.
They don't sell anything BTW. Again, it's based on historical data and current trends and is a somewhat 'scientific' way to check if you should buy now, or wait.

Finally remembered to go find a 'how it works' link...which hopefully will work. As I said, right now in beta just applies to Seattle and Boston....once testing is done is expected to fan out to most other cities. www.farecast.com/about/howWorks.jsp
