How long does it take to get from Amsterdam to Paris by train??? We are extremely limited on time, would it be faster to fly, any idea how long the flight takes??

No, train is faster, considering you go city center to city center and don't have to wait around airports. It takes about 4 hours. There are no budget flights, in any event, so far as I know between Amsterdam and Paris.

I just took the train from Paris to Amsterdam, with a train change in Brussels. Paris to Brussels is a high speed train that takes about an hour; Brussels to Amsterdam is a 3 hour regional train with a ton of stops

Yep, 4 hours on the Thalys (fast train) - there are direct trips without the Brussels stop..but an extra city is never a bad thing!
A little tip - grab some food before you get on the train as the food on offer on board isn't great and will put you over budget.
Train it. As WT says, it works out quicker and more convenient.
