trying to find the best way to get from London to Amsterdam. i was wondering if it would be more practical to take a ferry ride or take the train system there.

it actually might be most practical to fly. BMI Baby has LHR - AMS flights from £ 11, with tax&fees is less than £ 40, and takes just over an hour. trying to find the best way to get from London to Amsterdam. i was wondering if it would be more practical to take a ferry ride or take the train system there.

I agree. For me, the best two options were either www.flybmi.com or www.easyjet.com - it depends on your schedule, the prices that day and whether you want to go from Heathrow (BMI) or Gatwick (EasyJet).

Definitely fly. It's a lot cheaper than the ferry/train, as well as being quicker.

i have some people travelling from london to france or poland (could drop you of in amsterdam) at my website sometimes, so this could be another option (and you see more than of this country). always found this "cheaper than taxi" planetickets hard to get, but maybe you have more luck. see rideshare great britain, or ask this a guy with a van travelling between london and france quite often: www.manvanlondon.co.uk/.
