I will be in Vienna for about 3 days in January (6, 7, 8). I'm considering taking a day trip to Bratislava.
I had read somewhere about taking a boat from Vienna to Bratislava. I believe it was called the Twin City Liner. I went to the website, but it looks like the schedule won't be running during January....? Has anyone ever used this to get between Vienna and Bratislava?
Thanks so much!

Great idea PinkFlamingo, shame it's not running when you're there. It's something I still have on my list of things to do in Europe (a list that gets bigger, not smaller!). The line doesn't operate during the depths of Winter (December-March) due to the down-time in tourism and the cold. You can still do a trip to Bratislava, but it might have to be by train this time around. It will take around 1 hour, and whilst it's not as different as going by boat, it's a good option at that time of year.
Enjoy!

Yeah, the list never gets any smaller! I think I'll look into taking the train. The boat would have been a cool experience, but I guess that gives me a reason to go back some day!
