So I keep hearing about how great this city is and id really like to visit it but the Czech Republic is not included in the eurail pass. What would it cost to get there and back from a border city or is there another pass that would cover it along with the rest of europe?

If I recall correctly, tickets within the Czech Republic are pretty cheap. I wouldn't get a pass for it.

Depending on where you will be coming from, and where you will be heading after visiting Prague, you could also take airlinetickets into account
