I've done a google search and found out that they do fly this route however whenever I search their web page it comes up with a message saying that there are no available flights so can anyone tell me if this is a "new" route or not done anymore?

SkyEurope has released part of their summer schedule, but not all of it. Are you looking for dates after March 25? If so, just keep checking the site regularly.

Will Travel is right, most companies will anounce their shedules for next summer, pretty soon, but some also wait a little longer. If you look at the shedule for the flights from Budapest to Dubrovnik for this year (2006), you will see this flight is only available in summer (this year from mid june until mid september). So if nothing changes for next season, you will have to come up with an alternative, because you are travelling in April and May. At this moment, I can't see an alternative to get there. EDIT OK I found something, but you might not like it: You can fly to Dubrovnik on a Sunday (yes only on a sunday), with Germanwings, for 66,31 euros (incl. taxes), but this flight departures at Cologne-Bonn Airport in Germany. This means you have to get to Cologne. But this is also possible. Germanwings have a flight from Budapest to Cologne on that same day (60 euros), but the catch is that you only have 45 minutes to get from one plane to the other. So if something comes up (delay), you are stuck in Cologne. But there is also an option to get to Cologne a day earlier (somewhat cheaper), with the same company. It's the only thing I can find so far. P.S. www.bahn.de, keeps routing me to a faraway place in Russia, when I fill in Dubrovnik. Is there a different name for Dubrovnik in German?

Oh that would be right! Of course it starts the month after I leave lol. Oh well we will just stick with the train from Budapest to Zagreb and fly to Dubrovnik from there :-)
Thanks

This might not help but I know that hlx (and likely germanwings) flies to Dubrovnik but that'd mean you have to fly from Budapest to Munich (easyJet) then fly from Munich to Dubrovnik with hlx which is too much of a hassle. Hopefully your train ride won't be too bad!

HAve to agree with you that I hope the trainride isn't to bad for us. It is approximately 5 hours the earliest train gets us there at 1:44 and the flight from Zagreb to Dubrovnik leaves at something like 2:15 - I think it is just a bit to ambitious to try and make it to that flight! So the next flight is at 9 something at night but I found a hostel that arrange pick up from the airport any time of day/night so we will see how that goes. I don't know if anyone on here has heard of it - Dubrovnik Backpackers Club. I think its just a privately owned, famly run place
