I was just wondering about night trains for travelling around Europe. I was on the website rail europe and was trying to find out about the night trains that are available. I want to know if train trip from city to city that I am visiting have night trains but I can't seem to find it anywhere! Can anyone help me??

try www.bahn.de the Germanrail site. click on "Internat. Guests," second from right in the red stripe near the top. then use the "Timetable - Tickets" to the left of the screen below the red. useing that, you can often find night trains, if they exist.
but, there are less than obvious options. eg, from Berlin to Amsterdam, i'd take the night train to Cologne (Köln), check out that magnificent cathedral first thing, and take a mid-late morning train to Amsterdam. |
