Hi all,
So I'm planning on going to Europe for around 8 months. I plan on working a little bit, but mostly just travelling, so what would my best option for getting around be? Railpasses seem to be better for shorter trips, so should I go with flights? Or would a flexipass still be a good option?
Thanks for any help!

First of all welcome Sporks,
Without knowing where you are going it is not possible to tell you. It all depends on where you are going. A pass is good because it is flexible, but getting on a train has the disadvantage that it can take a long time to travel greater distances.
Low-budgetflights are something you should really consider, because you can get great prices, and you can get somewhere fast, and could it also make it possible that you can get a cheaper pass (less days, fewer countries).
Ofcourse you can also choose to cover a lot of distance at night, on a nighttrain.
Usually you will end up with a combination of flights, and train-travels.

sporks, I see from your other post that you're still working out destinations for your trip. Once you've sorted that, you'll have a better idea what methods of transport will be the best choice between each place. As Herrbert wrote, you'll find a combination of rail and flight will probably work best, unless you do something like Busabout for some routes (if they fit in to your schedule).
