Here's a question for everyone. Does anyone know if the ferry from Barcelona to Ibiza runs daily? If so, do they usually leave Barcelona in the morning? afternoon? I've tried the transmediteranea website, but they don't have the schedules out for July yet. Any info?

At the height of the season (ie when you're going in July) there are most definitely ferries every day, fast and slow. The timetables are a bit slow in coming up, but try again in Feb or March as they should be loaded by then.

I saw somewhere that they leave daily.
On the website of Directferries I can get a reservation until somewhere in April. My guess is that they will add the dates and time for the summerseason shortly.
If I take a look at the prices (85 euros + 7 euro fee). I would seriously consider flying with Vueling, Iberia, AirEuropa or Spanair. It would also save a lot of time. These fast ferries still need 4 and half hours. (and just like an airline, you need to check-in)
