hey guys!! well it has been a year since i've been to europe and i want to go back. so here i am planning for another trip, hopefully by may-june. ok, the cities that we are planning to see are :amsterdam, paris, berlin, prague, vienna, and munich. i know they are pretty far flung cities. my question is should i get a euro rail pass to for transportation or just use those cheap airlines for traveling. we were planning to start in paris then head to amsterdam then to berlin, etc. but then i noticed that if we took the train from amsterdam to berlin it would require almost half the day's journey. i'm not sure if it's worth the time/money. suggestions?

I would just get point to point tickets unless you plan to stick in 2-3 countries that border each other then a rail pass would be ideal.

Paris > Amsterdam > Berlin > Prague > Vienna > Munich
Take a look at railsaver.com, select Only if a pass saves me money, and then enter a possible itinerary and see what it recommends. I think I would do this all by train, except possibly for Amsterdam > Berlin.
It's possible some other order of the last four cities might work well. Or maybe fly from the nearest to the farthest, and work backwards - so many options here!

There is a nighttrain possibility between Brussels and Berlin. You can take a train in Amsterdam to Brussels, and enter the nighttrain to take you to Berlin.
Personally I would fly, check transavia for tickets Amsterdam - Berlin. I think that would be the cheapest airline.

can you get an open-jaw ticket? into Paris, out of Munich?
also, are you sure this is the most practical order between these places?
