Hi all, I hope someone can help me. We are travelling from Paris to Berlin on 7 May 2007, but the only flight I could get for Berlin was at 06:35am. Basically it will be cheaper AND save so much time to take the flight (rather than the overnight train), but I am worried about checking out of the hostel, public transport etc...would it be safer to take the train? Will we be able to make a flight at that of the morning using the public transport? We are staying at JetPak hostel if that helps, apparently it is not too far from Zoo station.... Armzie

Are you going from Paris to Berlin, or from Berlin to Paris (the first sentence sounds like the former and the last sounds like the second)? Is this Paris Orly to Berlin Schoenfeld? For Berlin transit help, try here: www.bvg.de/index.php/en/Bvg/StartFor Paris public transit help, try here: www.ratp.frSo long as your hostel does not lock up you at night (a few disreputable hotels and hostels do), there should be no problem with leaving early. Does your hostel have 24-hour reception? You can pay the night before. I would consider prebooking a taxi if you are going to Paris Orly early in the morning. For 6:35 AM, you would want to be there at least two hours in advance, so you'd probably want the taxi to come around 4 AM.

I see that Easyjet also has a flight in the afternoon, could this also be an option? It would cost you 21 euros more. (85). There is also a possibility to fly with dBA. www.flydba.com/app/fb.fly?l=en But this is not a direct flight, it will make a stopover in Munich, and is also more expensive (113), but is leaving at 9.25 and getting to Berlin - Tegel at 13.05. (with getting to the Hotel, you have some time to see something of Berlin, that same day). Another option could be to fly a day earlier, also by Easyjet at 21.05 from Orly, so that would leave the shedule, more or less intact. (97 euros)
