For my trip this summer, I've started to look into places in Eastern Europe and the cities I would like to visit are starting to extend down towards Greece (i.e. Serbia, Bulgaria, etc.). Since I'm planning on going to Greece I thought I might as well get there by train around the Adriatic and then fly back to Italy on the way out. Has anyone made this journey before that could give me advice on exact routes and cities to see on the way? Since it's a long trip, I'm thinking about breaking it up into 3 cities on the way to Thessaloniki and using night trains as much as possible. Thanks!
