if you can't find any airfare, why not using the train? the eurostar is fast and does not cost 500 pounds.

www.vueling.com/ lists flights for €58.00 arbitrarily, i plugged in a 2007 date, June 11, with an AMS departure time 15.25. gets to CDG at 16.50. the Thalys train takes about 4 hours - don't know the price. - d Edit: the time is messed up. it's 3.30 in the afternoon. yet this sez it's 12.30 in the morning! must be the change in daylight saving time!

That's good news, that Vueling starts to fly this route, as until today no other company did. I guess also because with the Thalys it's about 4 hours to get to Paris from Amsterdam. (btw. I see that Vueling also added some other destinations from Paris)
Just checked the Thalys-site, they offer trips Amsterdam - Paris for 101 euros.

You can better that price with this trick. As far in advance as possible (I think 89 days is the limit), book a return ticket on Thalys. That way, the price really drops. If you don't need the second half, don't use it. Also, look through all the times posted. By this method, I just found Amsterdam-Paris round trip tickets for 69 Euros total. You also have to choose France as your origin country, but do not have the tickets mailed to you (unless you live in France, of course). Choose the option to self-print.
This promotion is called Smilys, and it is only available on a limited basis, so you might not get your preferred times.

Errr, does that mean you're flying Amsterdam to London and then London to Paris on the same day? Seems like a roundabout way to get to Paris.
Keep in mind the airport you're flying in to and out of (are they different?) and getting to the airport in London at least an hour (you might want to allow 1hr30min for check in) before your flight to Paris. Travel from the airports in London to the centre of the city takes anywhere between 15mins to 1hr30 on the trains so you may find you only have 2 hours to "see" London before you have to be at the airport again.
Is there any reason why you didn't go by Thalys train direct? For GBP80 you could have taken the train.
