my question is: is there a train from frankfurt to paris without going to the netherlands/belgium/lux and switzerland? we're planning on using a select pass youth for our travels and i would hate to have to spend extra to add another country when we're just crossing over the border. i've checked www.bahn.de but it only shows that trains leave frankfurt and arrives paris gard de l'est. thanks for the help!!!

sure, EC 52 goes straight from Germany to France. i'm sure there are others at better times.
i also see that there are plans for a high-speed rail {TGV/ICE} line between these two cities.
Edit: per wikipedia, "For July 2007, a new line between Paris and Frankfurt is planned, jointly operated with ICE and Thalys trains"
