i just wanted to recommend the bag i bought for my europe trip - the north face galileo.

i actually found the medium size (4100 cu. in) at the north face outlet in berkeley, ca so i paid only $89.99 for it. i think they are discontinuing this model so you might find it for a cheaper price online via eBags or something.
