Regarding the Eurail pass
I'm on the DB Nachtzug website doing a dummy order to see how much the additional surcharge would be for a couchette bunk (from Bruges to Berlin overnight)
When ordering, there are three options under "What is required?"
Ticket and accommodation surcharge without BahnCard Ticket and accommodation surcharge with BahnCard Accommodation surcharge only, ticket exists.
I'm assuming it's the last option I would check off with a Eurail pass??, which would amount to an additional 22 Euros. Is this correct?
In general, whenever I make special reservations like this using the Eurail card, do I always select the one that says "ticket exists" and check off the option that has the least surcharges?
In terms of supplements and surcharges, how often am I going to pay these and how much are they?
From my research, I've found
Thalys (Paris to Brussels) - 18 Euros DB Nachtbug (Overnight Brussels to Berlin) - 20 Euro for a 4 berth couchette CityNightLine (Overnight Berlin to Basel) - 30 Euro for a 4 berth couchette IC (Basel to Bern to Interlaken) - No surcharge Roundtrip Interlaken to Gimmelwald - 27 Sfk w/ Eurail Pass IC (Interlaken to Spiez) - No surcharge EC (Spiez to Milan) - No surcharge IC (Milan to La Spezia) - No Surcharge IC (La Spezia to Rome) - No Surcharge
Does this look accurate?
