My friend and I are going to be backpacking this May 16th through June 25th (6 weeks). We plan to visit approximately 9 countries in that time. We've planned out a rough itinerary but we want to be flexable in case we change our minds as to where we want to go. Both of us are under 26 so we will be getting the youth passes.
The first part of our trip starts out with a flight and the last part of our trip is to England where we'll visit a friend. So we don't really need the railpass for the first or last part of our trip.
Is it better to get 10 days in 2 months or to just get a 1 month global pass?
If I need to provide more information let me know and thank you for any advice you can give!

It will depend on your plans, and the number of times you need to use your pass. If you have some short rides, you could opt for the 10 day pass, and buy some p2p-tickets, to cover shorter trips. I also depends on the countries. (Spain and Italy are reasonably cheap countries, to use the train, Germany is expensive). You could also use the 10 day pass, in combination with some budgetflights, to cover big distances. (I guess it will always be the challenge to complete the puzzle) As you have a more or less fixed itinerary, try www.railsaver.com. (maybe you have to make some assumptions, but you will get the idea). Happy Puzzlin'
