Is there a resource or book, something which gives me realistic travel time between european cities using the eurail? I need to know when to plan an overnight.
Thanks!

if it's a book you want, Thomas Cook publishes rail schedules for all of Europe. but, i just use the web. www.bahn.de has the best online listings i know of. [to get English from that page, follow the red horizontal line near the top towards the right. where it sez "Internat. Guests," click there] - d

Bahn.de is for eurail? Paris -> Brugge is 3hrs roughly. Not bad, I figured it would be way longer.

well, eurail is just the brand name for rail passes that work in most of Western Europe. bahn.de lists rail times for Europe. if you ask it for times to UK, for instance, it will give those times. but, eurail is no good in UK.
PS: those Paris -> Brugge trains are often on Thalys, which require reservations & maybe even a supplement. these things cost extra.
