I remember reading about certain discounts and what not you get with the Eurail Pass. I also remember reading that some use a day on your pass. Would these discounts/specials take a day off of a 1 Month Global Pass? Just curious since the global passes are suppose to be for an unlimited amount of travel for X amount of days. I know it would on the Flexipasses.

The Global Pass is actually the same thing as the Eurail Pass. They just decided to rename it for some reason but the same conditions apply.
Sounds like the answer is yes to your question and probably not worth a day on your pass:
Eurail Pass holders are granted reduced or free fares for ferries, cruises, private trains, hotels, museums, and many other attractions. All bonuses must be arranged locally.
Please note that use of a Free travel bonus will require the use of a day on your railpass. In order to take advantage of a travel bonus, your pass must be valid for the country each desired bonus is offered for.

Hrm, I found this when I dug around RailPass.com:
"Flexipass and Saver Flexipass holders please note: Use of a free transportation bonus requires use of a travel day. Use of a reduction bonus does not require use of a travel day."
That makes it sound like it only takes a day off if you have a Flexipass and not if you have a Global Pass.

Might be worth sending one of the rail sites a quick email to double check. Can you let us know if you do? That's good info to have.
We tried to use the reduced/free transport with our passes but it never seemed to work out - the discounts were on weird things.
