Here is my dilemma...I want to fly from Paris to Rome, but the budget airlines aren't working well with me because they leave either really early in the morning or really late at night...the one that was going to work alright was ryan air but that was to bellvuis (sp) airport. So I dont know how far it would be to get from paris to that airport, espescially since you want to be at the airport like 2 hrs ahead of time and the flight is at like 9:10. So I was wondering what options I have...I could do airberlin also, what other airlines are there like these? or budget airlines? I am pretty confused. Lemme know. Thanks.

I know that easyJet has a 7 am flight from Paris Orly to Rome Ciampino. You'd have to check in at 5 am. However, Orly's a pretty decent place to sleep over and there are comfty couches. All you really have to do is show up around 9:30-10 PM and hunker down for a few hours before checking in. Just make sure you have your passport and your flight confirmation info.
I've done it and it wasn't a problem at all.
To get to Orly, just take bus 285 from the end of Line 7 (metro) which is one metro ticket worth and it's about a 10-15 minute ride to the airport. You should google "Bus 285 Orly Airport" and a map will show up.

Beauvais Airport (Ryanair), is another 1,5 - 2 hours away from Paris if you go by train. Check on Vueling Airlines, they fly at 8.00 and 18.15 from Charles de Gaulle. www.vueling.com. If you take the flight at 18.15 you are in Rome at 20.15, which wouldn't leave a lo to see that day, but something like 22.00 is not too late to arrive at the hostel.

I've done it a few times... there's quite a bit of security around the airport during night and I honestly felt safe. But if you're paranoid about your stuff getting stolen, I guess you should consider an airport hotel or look for another flight that isn't at dawn or at night.
