Hello everyone!
I'm back. ;D I know I'm a week late posting (I'm bad) but it's all explained in the blog entry I pasted down below......
Hello readers:
So I am finally back in good ol' Toronto. I actually returned a week ago but have been busy both spending time with Mohammad before he left for Ithaca and being sick. Yup, that's right . . . I once again managed to become sick while on a trip. Thankfully though it wasn't anywhere near as serious as the illness I caught when I travelled to Germany (last time I was in Europe).
I'm happy to report that I had a fantastic time in Scandinavia!!! I really really liked it and would love to go back in the future. Sadly though I wasn't able to update my blog while away. Mostly because internet facilities were hard to come by (as in not readily available where I was scurrying about) and when they were available they were insanely expensive. My hostel in Stockholm, for example, charged $1CND/minute!!!!!!!! Given that I take a really long time when writing my entries it was prohibitively expensive.
Speaking of expensive -- Norway is now the most expensive place I have travelled to in my life. Yup, it broke the record previously held by Switzerland. I pity my wallet the next time it encounters a place as expensive as Scandinavia.
But was it worth it? Yes, not only Scandinavia but the entire trip was worth it! I had an incredible summer. Frankly, I have a lifetime of memories and I know I am truly blessed.
There will be more entries to come (the ones I didn't get to write while in Europe) but I would like to take this opportunity to thank some people: All of the friends I made in Paris -- they came from all over the world and made my summer a truly happy one, my Scandinavian friends (Laila and Ida) who were the most fantastic hosts anyone could hope for, my guideforeurope friends who are always there when I need to plan a trip, all of those who prayed for me while I was away, Mohammad -- for always supporting and encouraging me -- even from afair, and of course my parents -- without whom none of this would have been possible
And so I thank-you for reading my blogs this summer and hope you will continue to read as I finish spinning the tales of my European adventure.
Until we meet again . . . .
