I really enjoyed reading Dustoffmom's reports from Europe - it would be great to get some "after the trip" comments, tips etc. too.

I hope our next trip will be to Italy and include the Cinque Terre and other coastal regions. We enjoy museums and galleries to a degree but love the wandering, people watching, eating, even more, so any highlights on that would be great. I enjoy the planning stages and figuring out what to take etc. so any tips on what worked for a woman travelling pretty light would be fun too.
Please advise which section I should watch for anything you feel like sharing. Thanks!

This trip is in the pretty distant future so rather than waste your time I will say anything on the 5 Terre as that has been absolutely top on my list for many years. Thanks for the tip on walking tours - we have been in Rome and did one there and I totally agree with you.
